Senior defensive end earns fifth All-American honor this season; First Nittany Lion to be on the AP team since 2013

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 13, 2015 – Defensive end Carl Nassib (West Chester, Pa.) added Associated Press All-America first team accolades to his list of accomplishments this season. The AP selection is the fifth All-America honor for Nassib, who earned Walter Camp first team All-America, SI.com first team All-America, CBS Sports first team All-America and USA Today second team All-America status previously.

NAVY GETS BY ARMY FOR 14TH CONSECUTIVE WIN

Navy did everything it could to lose to Army. Army did everything it could to had the game to the Midshipmen.
Navy (10-2) took advantage of the Black Knights (2-10) second-half mistakes, edging their ancient rival 21-17 before 69,722 fans at Lincoln Financial Field.
Keenan Reynolds produced three big plays that were the difference including a 50-yard touchdown pass to Jamir Tillman late in the third quarter that ended up the game winner for Navy.

Smyrna high school is celebrating a state championship.
The Eagles are also the Footballstories Team of the Year.
Smyrna won the Delaware Division 1 State Title beating Salesianum, 32-­26 in overtime on December 5 at the University of Delaware.

Senior wins award for nation’s top lineman or linebacker; Nassib first Penn State winner since 1978

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; Dec. 7, 2015 – Senior defensive end Carl Nassib (West Chester, Pa.) won the 46th Rotary Lombardi Award for the nation’s top lineman (offense or defense) or linebacker. He is the second Nittany Lion to win the award, joining Bruce Clark who won the award in 1978.
