The Washington Redskins Media Relations staff issued a note release with lots of information about their well-earned win over the Philadelphia Eagles. There are about 41 notes in this release. And despite rushing for 230 yards (493 total) and holding a highly regarded defensive line that included Fletcher Cox to zero sacks, not one offensive lineman’s name made their release. Doug Pederson speaks to the assembled media Monday morning after the Eagles 24-23 loss to the Detroit Lions on the road.
The Eagles came back from deficits of 14-0 and 21-7 to take a 23-21 lead on a 49-yard field goal by Celeb Sturgis with 6:45 left in the fourth quarter.
Detroit then drove to the Red Zone setting up Matt Prater for a 29-yard field goal with 1:28 left and Darius Slay made an over-the-shoulder interception on the next snap, helping the Detroit Lions hand Carson Wentz his first loss.
