BREAKS MAY BE BIGGER PART OF GIANTS TRAINING CAMP

Midway through the workout at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center, the players headed en masse to the field house to drink water or Gatorade and to cool off. At the conclusion of the five-minute hydration period the players returned to the outdoor field and resumed practice.
Several players had to leave the opening practice yesterday with heat-related issues. A breeze and cloud cover made it cooler today, but Coughlin kept the break on the schedule.

STATEMENT REGARDING EAGLES LANE JOHNSON’S FOUR GAME SUSPENSION

Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2014 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.
Johnson will be eligible to return to the Eagles’ active roster on Monday, September 29 following the team’s September 28 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Johnson is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.

Two new players Eagles fan will no doubt be keeping and eye on are safety Malcolm Jenkins and running back Darren Sproles who last year played for the New Orleans Saints.
