JACKSONVILLE ENDS PHILADELPHIA SOUL SEASON WITH 61-56 VICTORY

The Philadelphia Soul (16-4) attempted to tie up the game in the last two seconds with Dan Raudabaugh’s 14-yard pass into the end zone, but was intercepted by Jacksonville (12-8) leaving the final score 61-56 in front of 9,378 fans on the Rothman Field at the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday night. The Jacksonville Sharks were awarded 2015 American Conference Champions, and will proceed to face the San Jose SaberCats in ArenaBowl XXVIII.

The objective is to play well.

GIANTS OFFENSE SHOWS UP IN PRESEASON WIN OVER JAGUARS

Their quarterbacks threw 49 passes and were sacked just once. The run defense was stout, allowing just 2.4 yards a carry and zero touchdowns. The kicking game accounted for five field goals, including three that traveled 43, 51 and 53 yards. And they won, defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars in MetLife Stadium, 22-12.

ELI MANNING RIPS REPORT ON NFL NETWORK THAT HE WANTS TO BE NFL’S HIGHEST PAID PLAYER

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported last Monday’s edition of NFL Total Access that Eli Manning wants to be the highest paid player in the NFL.
Manning, who has led the Giants to two Super Bowl titles, signed a six-year, $97.5 million extension in 2009.
It expires at the end of the 2015 season.
