Jim Cordle, the Giants’ starting center in seven of the last eight games, was today placed on season-ending injured reserve with an injury to his patella tendon, which he suffered Sunday in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Cordle joins fellow offensive linemen Chris Snee and David Baas on injured reserve.

Conventional thinking says that Nick Foles should be named the starter for the remainder of the season to find out if he can be the franchise quarterback.
