The Eagles are back in the playoffs for the first time since January 9, 2011 when they lost in the Wild Card round to the Green Bay Packers 21-16.
The Eagles (10-6) have lost three straight playoff games but hope to end the streak Saturday night when they host the New Orleans Saints (11-5) in the Wild Card round once again.

The improbable happened. The Eagles, a team many thought was a rag-tag bunch with a few good players such as LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson. They were going to have a bad defense and a rookie head coach in Chip Kelly who had never coached a down of NFL football at any level before he took the reigns as head coach of the Eagles last spring.
The Eagles were going nowhere…right?
Today the Eagles are NFC East Champs after knocking off the Dallas Cowboys 24-22 and are hosting a playoff game Saturday night January 4 at 8 p.m.

Congratulations are in order for St. Joe’s Prep (13-3) for winning the PIAA AAAA State Championship and for also being selected as the No. 1 ranked team in the final Footballstories Super 30 High Schol Football teams for 2013.
The Hawks body of work in the playoffs was the difference as the Prep was able to hang in there while its starting quarterback and leader Chris Martin was on the mend from a leg injury.
