The Philadelphia Soul are back on track after picking up wins the past two weeks at home against New Orleans and Tampa Bay. The Soul (5-4) look to continue their win ways as they hit the road to face the undefeated Cleveland Gladiators (8-0) on Friday, May 23 at 7 p.m. at the Quicken Loans Arena. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.

A handful of days after the Lott IMPACT Trophy became the first to release its spring watch list, the Rimington Trophy has done the same, announcing Monday an initial group of 64 players to watch. There are two finalists for last year’s award on this year’s watch list: Auburn’s Reese Dismukes and Oregon’s Hroniss Grasu.

The Philadelphia 76ers today announced that Special Advisor and Sixers legend Julius “Dr. J” Erving will represent the team on stage at the NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday, May 20 in New York City. The lottery will be broadcast live on ESPN at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Philadelphia Soul (4-4) took control of the game early and never looked back. The team scored a season high 79 points in their 79-60 victory over the New Orleans VooDoo (1-6) in front of 6,080 fans. The team was lead by veteran QB Dan Raudabaugh and James Romain added big defensive plays to keep the lead throughout the entire game.

Boston College’s Andre Williams rushed for 2,177 yards, averaged 6.1 yards a carry and was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2013, a trio of achievements that would seem to be worthy of a first-round selection. But for the second year in a row, no backs were taken in the first round. And when the Giants were on the clock to make their fourth-round choice, Williams was available. So the Giants added him to their stable of backs with the 113th overall pick.

The journey to the 2014 NFL season has begun. The Eagle selected seven players in this year’s draft and signed 15 rookie free agents.
