Legendary Philadelphia radio and television broadcaster Bill Campbell passed away on Monday evening at the age of 91, and he is remembered forever by Eagles fans for his dramatic radio call of the team’s 1960 NFL Championship win over the Green Bay Packers.
With the win, the Eagles held on to a tie with the Dallas Cowboys (4-1 after beating Texas in OT) for the lead in the NFC East and set up a marquee match-up on national network TV next Sunday night with the New York Football Giants, who are 3-2 after beating the Atlanta Falcons.
Odell Beckham Jr. and Andre Williams, the Giants’ first and fourth-round draft choices in the 2014 NFL Draft, led the team in receiving and rushing, respectively, and scored the Giants’ only second-half touchdowns in a 30-20 come-from-behind victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Center David Molk is known for his strength and technique, and that’s it. At 6-foot-1, 290 pounds, he is as small as it gets for an NFL lineman. Molk looks almost like a fullback as the line approaches the line of scrimmage each play.
Top Ranked Archbishop Wood and fourth-ranked LaSalle will face off in a non-league matchup Friday night (7 p.m.) at William Tennent High School in Warminster. It is the first time the Vikings and Explorers have face each other on a football field since 1998.

Darren Sproles became the second Eagles running back to have a punt return touchdown of over 80 yards against the 49ers in a span of 12 seasons. Brian Westbrook ran a punt back 81 yards against San Francisco in week 16 of 2003. Similarly, Sproles’ 152 receiving yards at Indianapolis surpassed Westbrook’s career high of 140 against the Raiders in 2005.
The Wildcats kept the top spot in the Top 20 with a convincing 56-8 win over the previously ranked Millville Thunderbolts.
St. Joe’s standout quarterback and defensive back Salaam Horne, who played just the first half, broke runs of 19 and 50 yards for a total of 77 yards on the ground on just five carries and completed 1-of-3 passes, with his only completion going 30-yards to Ricardo Quirindongo for a score.
