The last Giants rookie to lead the team in rushing over a full season was Joe Montgomery in 1999 (with all of 348 yards). Andre Williams has an excellent opportunity to be the next.
Williams will again start and be the Giants’ primary back when the team takes on the St. Louis Rams Sunday in the Edward Jones Dome. Rashad Jennings, who is listed as the No. 1 running back on the depth chart, will not play because of the sprained ankle he suffered at Jacksonville three weeks ago. It will be the fifth game Jennings will miss this season. The last two weeks, he was limited to a total of three carries.

While NFL teams in Green Bay, Boston, Denver, Indianapolis and Philadelphia are playing football games to determine a playoff spot or improve their seeding, players on teams like the Giants, Titans, Jets and Jacksonville are competing to keep jobs.
In some cases players are actually getting a chance to audition, if not with the team they are currently with, then for teams who might be scouting these games.
The game between the Giants and Titans (FOX 1 p.m. ET) will not be flexed for prime time.
Combined the two teams have just five wins.

There are football fans out there who think kickers are just soccer players pulled off the pitch for a few hours every week to kick extra points and field goals.
