BANNING PROVIDES MUSCLE TO NEUMANN-GORETTI ATTACK

Joseph Santoliquito

It didn’t take Patrick Banning to get over the mourning process that all athletes endure when their season prematurely ends. The Neumann-Goretti 6-foot-2, 287-pound two-way lineman took a day off, after the Saints lost to Dunmore, 30-18, in the PIAA Class AA state quarterfinals. The following day, he was back in the weight room working on this coming 2015 season.

EAGLES PICK MAKES SENSE, NOT NOISE

Al Thompson

Last week the Eagles took USC wide receiver Nelson Agholor with the No. 20 pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
It was a solid pick. Agholor’s body of work at Southern Cal was outstanding, finishing his career with 179 catches for 2,571 yards and 20 touchdowns in 30 games, becoming just the 12th Trojan to notch 2,000 receiving yards in a career.

AGHOLOR IS A GOOD START FOR KELLY’S NEW CREW

Brian Baldinger

Nelson Agholor is a nice start. On a perfect spring night in the Windy City Mr. Agholor’s name was called in the first round, the fourth wide receiver drafted on the special night. Eventually two more wide receivers’ name would be called in the first round, making it a total of six new shiny toys for their respective teams to highlight and amalgamate into their scheme.

BIG BLUE’S BRETT JONES TAKING NFL RIDE IN STRIDE

Al Thompson

It’s tough enough to come from the rustic community of Weyburn, Saskatchewan (pop. 10,484), Canada and start the final chapter of your football career, an opportunity to play in the NFL.
But to make that start in the biggest stage in America, the New York City area, it must be overwhelming, right?
Apparently not for Giants free agent center Brett Jones.

VICTOR CRUZ LOOKING TO GET BACK TO THE GAME

Michael Eisen

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Victor Cruz is getting antsy.   The Giants’ outstanding wide receiver, slowly but steadily working his way back from major knee surgery, did not join his teammates today for the first organized team activity (OTA), essentially a practice in which the players are not permitted to wear pads. admin

By Brian Lange
If you haven’t heard by now, Tim Tebow is an Eagle.
I am sure that we all have our opinions on him and his playing ability, but sounds like Coach Kelly felt he is a good addition to the team at this point. I would agree.
