Their 24-17 victory last night in Washington was a microcosm of their season. They Giants fell behind by two touchdowns early, but kept grinding away and eventually took their first lead early in the fourth quarter. The victory was their fifth in six games.

Jim Cordle, the Giants’ starting center in seven of the last eight games, was today placed on season-ending injured reserve with an injury to his patella tendon, which he suffered Sunday in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Cordle joins fellow offensive linemen Chris Snee and David Baas on injured reserve.
