We’ve got quite a day planned here moving ahead. I said basically what I needed to say. I usually do it on Sunday. Again, unfortunately the game is very, very close at the end of the third quarter and we did not get the job done and it’s my job and I take full responsibility for it. I know that we’re maligning my quarterback today and believe me, there’s a bunch of people involved in that. Those things don’t happen just one on one now. It’s a team concept. Whether you have a pressure situation, whether you have somebody that comes loose in front of him and he tries to move, whether the receiver doesn’t do what he’s supposed to do, whether people don’t come back for the ball… whatever it is. It’s a team game, and yes, the head coach is the guy that’s responsible for the losses, and the players need to be there for each other in all circumstances and in this one, criticizing the quarterback for the outcome for everything there at the end of the game really is not right.

The Eagles defense came up big in the fourth quarter, leading the Birds to a 36-21 win over the New York Football Giants at MetLife Stadium in a game that effectively ended Big Blue’s season.

Right tackle David Diehl, Future Hall of Fame guard Chris Snee and starting center David Baas have all been out significant time this season.
Rookie right tackle Justin Pugh – a Bucks County native – has had his ups and downs.

Eagles head coach Chip Kelly answers questions from the New York Giants Media via about this Sunday’s game against between Big Blue and the Birds.

Uncertain when David Baas or Chris Snee might return, the Giants today fortified their offensive line when they signed Dallas Reynolds, who started 14 games at center last season for the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants may also be looking for the inside track to the Birds new offense under Chip Kelly.

Big Blue struggles again against Big Red and Kansas City, especially on offense. Over the last two games the Giants have been outscored 69-7 and fell to 0-4, one of the worst starts in team history.

If you are looking for a few silver linings after the Eagles 52-40 loss to the Denver Broncos, here are a few notes to try and put a smile on the faces of Eagles Nation.

The Birds dropped to 1-3 on the season after a complete breakdown in every area of the sport, losing to Denver 52-20. The Eagles only positive is that play the 0-4 New York Giants next week at MetLife Stadium.

Q: Your parting in Philadelphia seemed very friendly on both parts. Was it just time for the organization to move on and did you feel that for you it was just time for you to move on?
Andy Reid: I think every situation is different. I think that’s very important to understand. I had a great relationship, still do, with Jeffrey. We’re just one of 32 teams and they’re all different. Personally, I think he felt and I felt that change could be good.

So far Chip Kelly has not flinched. He was stuck with playing his first three games in 11 days. Then the NFL puts him on the road for the next three games.
