Q. After that, can you tell us that the players believe in what you’re trying to do?
CHIP KELLY: I don’t think anybody played well today, and I don’t think we’re talking about beliefs. We just didn’t play well as a football team in any facet of the game and there’s no excuse for that.

Everyone across the Delaware Valley predicted a 4-0 November for the Birds and Philadelphia would be 7-4 heading into Foxboro on December 6 and a date with the New England Patriots.
Yesterday’s 45-17 loss to the guaranteed the Eagles (4-6) won’t have even a winning record going into that game.
The Buccaneers (5-5) converted 10 of their first 13 third-down plays…the Eagles simply could not get off the field all afternoon. Even after what appeared to be a good start.

Q. Did you get enough production out of your outside receivers, in particular WR Miles Austin and WR Riley Cooper at 97 snaps and no catches?
CHIP KELLY: Yeah, we had a couple of drops in there. I don’t think Coop [Riley Cooper] was targeted, so sometimes that’s not the receiver’s fault in terms of where his production is; he can’t do anything except run his routes and run his plays. But we missed Miles on the one, obviously the crossing route on the drag for the interception, and then we had a drop going down the other way. And then we had the one that we threw to him but we didn’t get the foot down inbounds.

The Eagles wasted or threw away opportunity after opportunity and found a way to lose to the Dolphins 20-19 on a brisk, beautiful afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
Adding to the disappointment is the loss of running back Ryan Mathews and quarterback San Bradford who both left the game in the second half with concussion symptoms. Bradford also suffered a should injury on a hit by Chris McCain in the third quarter.
Despite the loss, the Eagles are in the same position in the NFC East after the game as they were before the game.

Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly Q. What happened to you offensive line after the first quarter? CHIP KELLY: It looked like we struggled at times to handle the inside guys, specifically Suh [Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh], but we had a little momentum going there for us. We didn’t capitalize on that third drive, and […]
