EAGLES FIRE HEAD COACH CHIP KELLY

Al Thompson

The Philadelphia Eagles shocked the NFL world tonight with the announcement that owner Jeffrey Lurie fired Head Coach/Player Personnel Director Chip Kelly with one game left in a highly disappointing season that ends Sunday at the Meadowlands against the Giants.
Questionable personnel moves, multiple complaints about Kelly’s disconnection with players and a series of humiliating losses this season have all led to the Eagles 6-9 record.
Losing to the Washington Redskins at home last week…a loss that eliminated the Eagles from the playoffs…and watching the Redskins celebrate their NFC East title in his stadium may have been the last straw.
National Media has already tabbed former Eagles Defensive Coordinator and current Carolina Panthers Defensive Coordinator Sean McDermott is the early front runner for the job.
