Quarterback Tony Romo was battered early and often during the Cowboys 44-6 loss to the Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys reported that quarterback Tony Romo collapsed in the locker room following their 44-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles due to a rib injury.

As an eye witness to the incident, it hardly looked like a rib injury.

The incident took place while owner Jerry Jones was speaking with reporters following the game in side room near the entrance to the locker room.

Head coach Wade Phillips was also speaking to reporters in the visitors interview room, so there wwas only a few reporters in the main locker room.

I am not a doctor, but it appeared Romo either fainted or had some kind of episode in the shower perhaps related to dehydration or whatever sickness he was reported to be going through during the week leading up to the crucial game with the Eagles.

Several players called out from the shower for trainers who responded quickly. After they entered the shower room area, the trainers could be seen helping Romo from the shower to an adjacent room to the right of the entrance to the shower area. He had a towel rapped around him.

He appeared a bit dazed.

After a few minutes, Romo made it to his locker, which was the first one on the right of the same entrance to the shower area.

He walked under his own power to his locker but apeared to be a little disheveled. He stayed at his locker for just a few seconds before disappearing with the trainers again.

Romo was sacked three times and hit at least ten times during the game.

He seemed much more composed at his press conference.
