Dear Dr. Strossen,
 
 
I would like to ask you to forward this request to Marcel Mostert as he has been in contact with your ironmind.com website on a regular basis. The request is for Mr. Mostert to agree to answer questions at a formal press conference regarding the events surrounding the 2007 IFSA World Strongman Championships held in South Korea.
 
It is an indisputable fact that Mr. Mostert is/was a director for IFSA and was directly involved with putting on the 2007 IFSA (International Federation of Strength Athletes) World Championships.
 
It is also an indisputable fact that IFSA held the championships and failed to pay over $100,000.00 in prize money to the several dozen athletes who competed in those championships.
 
It is an indisputable fact that IFSA abandoned over 25,000 pounds of strongman equipment to a Philadelphia-based freight forwarder leaving him with the task of dealing with storing the equipment and the $63,000.00 in freight charges. The storage fees for this equipment – now held for over a year – is now in the thousands of dollars.
 
Mr. Mostert started a new pro strongman league – the Champions League –  in Eastern Europe and appears to be expanding for this coming year. Mr. Mostert claims his new league in not part of IFSA even though it is promoted on the front page IFSA website, ifsastrongman.com.
 
Mr. Mostert needs to answer questions about the funding of this new league and what happened with the funding for the 2007 IFSA Championships.
 
I am respectfully requesting ironmind.com to please stop publishing the Champions League press releases until such a time as Mr. Mostert answers questions from legitimate media members and other interested parties/observers about the events of the 2007 IFSA World Championships.
 
I can set up a conference call for the press conference. Efforts by myself and the Philadelphia freight forarder to talk to Mr. Mostert and IFSA Managing Director Christian Fennell have not been successful. 
 
What happened in South Korea in 2007 has – to say the least – had a profound impact on the sport of pro strongman in a negative way. Please make sure this request is sent to him and that he sends us a date and time he can participate in the press conference.
